Cordillera Clubs and Communities
What is Cordillera?

Taken from the Spanish word for 'Mountain Range' this beautifully planned, gated community high above the Vail Valley is quite simply the realization of a dream for most residents. Cordillera is being established as the finest private mountain club and golf community in North America. In Cordillera, carefully conceived recreational venus, gracious hospitality facilities, and luxurious health and wellness services co-exist with over 6,100 acres of land, nearly 80 percent which is dedicated open space. Part of the appeal of Cordillera is its respect for nature and the mountains surrounding the development.

The topography of the area has been taken into special consideration when planning Cordillera's golf courses and residences. Nature and civilization come together here and have a well-balanced harmonious relationship. Property owners in Cordillera's neighborhoods are required to engage a licensed architect and landscape architect to created unified exteriors, and landscape design. All exterior colors relate to the natural colors of the building site and 15 percent exterior wall area must be made up of natural stone, according to design and review guidelines. One of the primary goals of Cordillera is the preservation and enhancement of its native landforms, vegetation, and wildlife.

The location of the community itself is perfect for those who enjoy the feeling of getting 'away from it all' in a private mountian retreat, yet Cordillera is surprisingly accessible. The shops, restaurants, post office, banks, theater, and other businesses in Edwards, as well as the Interstate 70 interchange, are all within a few minutes of the entrance to Cordillera. The Village-to-Village ski experience of Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead also a short distance away. Within 20 to 30 minutes to the west is the Eagle County Airport and newly remodeled jet center. The combination of privacy and convenience are exceptionally well done and make Cordillera an incredible experience for its homeowners and visitors.
(Pictured here is 'The Ranch' during it's early development stage) For visitors who come to Colorado to experience the outdoors and participate in year-round activities, Cordillera is an extraordinary environment. There are over 17 miles of groomed and marked hiking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing trails, and tennis courts. Cordillera also boasts the award-winning Lodge and Spa at Cordillera, and four master designed golf courses and their club houses. Cordillera's extensive equestrian program includes indoor and outdoor arenas, riding lessons, day trips and trail riding, horse education and safety classes, and a full service boarding facility. The residents of Cordillera have also formed several special interest groups including an art program, summer motorcycle club, and a high alpine gardening club. The restaurants of Cordillera have been positively recognized by Esquire, DiRoNa, Chefs of America, American Express, and The Wine Spectator.
