Children's introductory programs are available, complete with small-size machines, which emphasize safety as well as skill. This is a great activity to really see the beauty offered in our high alpine climate. Snowmobiling is especially popular when planning family reunions, corporate retreats, and entertaining large groups.

Yes, you can bring children to our resort, and have a great time as a family, with no worries! In fact, there are wonderful facilities specifically designed to cater to the needs of younger generations.
Adventure Ridge:
Adventure Ridge on Vail Mountain is an extensive day and night activity center. Entertainment options include: thrill sledding, tubing, laser tag, ice-skating, ski-biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and spots for snacking, lunch and dinner. There are also unique 'Kid's Adventure Zones' with simulated abandoned mines, bear caves, ancient Indian burial grounds, and more... all celebrating Colorado's rich history.
"Night Owl' activites on Wednesday and Thursday nights are also sponsored by Adventure Ridge. These chaperoned evenings of fun are for kids 6-9 and 10-14 with age-appropriate activities and dinner.

For older 'kids', be sure to look into the various teen programs. Perfect for youths 15-18 years, who are in the in-between stage, and aren't quite old enough to explore on their own; The 'Teen Access Pass' includes lift tickets and ski or snowboard lesson at a discount. Small World Play School offers safe and dependable day care for children 2 months to 6 years old. Lunch and activities are included, and pagers for parents are available. Reservations are required, as space is limited. Call (970)479-3285 for Vail, or (970)845-5325 for Beaver Creek.
Kids Night Out:
Kids Night Out is a fully supervised dinner theatre for children age 5-12 years. Activities generally include music, games, story-telling, dinner and desert. Show-times are from 6-9pm and the theatre plays Wednesday nights in Beaver Creek and Thursday nights at Vail's Golden Peak. Reservations are required. Call (970)926-5855 or (970)476-9090
Ice Skating:
For ice skating at 10,00 feet, consider Adventure Ridge on Vail Mountain. Public skating is available year-round in Beaver Creek at the Black Family Ice Rink in the heart of the Village. Skate rentals are offered and the rink is open 10:00am to 9:00pm. Call for rates and additional information
The Beaver Creek Figure Skating Series features regional and local amateur skaters of all ages and abilities. Skaters showcase their talents every Tuesday night at 6:00pm through the end of March. For Beaver Creek ice skating, call (970)845-5248 Depending upon the weather, you may also want to consider Nottingham Lake, in the heart of Avon. Dogsled Adventures
Enjoy peace and quiet and see all the sights on a professionally driven Siberian Husky dogsled tour. 'Mountain Mushers' offers two tours daily, morning and afternoon. 'Hut-to-Hut' Back-country Skiing:
True alpine adventurers can visit the original 10th Mountain Division huts high in the Rockies. These huts were used in training for the 10th Mtn. Division during World War II and are now used as part of a wilderness adventure program. Reservations are required, and detailed instructions and information are a must. Call (970)925-5775.
Thursday Night Lights in Beaver Creek:Snowshoe Hikes:The Vail Valley offers miles of trails deep in National Forest land. For a complete history of the ski industry and other winter sports, this stop is a must. Learn all about the development of the legendary Vail resort, and the 10th Mountain Division, who trained in the area for winter combat during World War II. The museum is located in the Vail Valley Tourism and Convention Bureau in Vail
